Kris Boyd believes that Celtic heavy favourites to win Sunday’s Glasgow Derby.
The former Kilmarnock striker will play a major role in Sky Sports’ coverage of the match with the hoops looking to maintain their 100% SPFL record to go into an early five point lead over their city rivals.
Celtic have had an almost flawless start to the season with the only set-back being the £28m transfer of Matt O’Riley to Brighton.
Brendan Rodgers brought in Paulo Bernardo to the midfield against St Mirren on Sunday with barely a glitch as the visitors won 3-0 against last season’s fifth placed side.
Most factors point towards a home win with Boyd struggling to identify a flaw as Sky begins the build up to Sunday’s match.

REPORTER: What sort of place are Celtic in?
KB:
Very good, I think that the performances, since the start of the season, even going back to pre-season, they have started the season really well, scoring goals, moving the ball well.
I mean yeah look at it, they have options with Idah and Kyogo at the top end of the pitch as well .
You know, they are in a good place. Hatate has been excellent since the start of the season, Callum McGregor, Maeda in the picture there as well, have been causing real problems.
Obviously the loss of O’Riley, for me, I don’t think that they’ll be able to replace someone like Matt O’Riley, quickly. Bernardo is already in there but he is a totally different player to Matt O’Riley hence the reason why you get that type of move to the English Premiership.
So I think, looking at it right now , Celtic are heavy favourites and rightly so with the way that they have started but you just never know.
Celtic don’t appear to have any injury worries from the win over St Mirren with Kyogo Furuhashi and Nicolas Kuhn coming on as second half substitutes after missing part of training last week.
John Beaton will referee Sunday’s match with Andrew Dallas on VAR duty.

Canny bring eezsel tae say the Huns il get HUMPED & yet last Season wiz tipping the FILTH every game lol! Going wae the auld “Yi never know” PISH!! Get it rammed right up him on Sun Sutty singing “Hey you there with the sad face” lol!
They must know now that their children will be Celtic supporters!
Got to be straight here: Boyd’s opinion is of less interest to me than the other prick in the pic at the top.
‘They’ve’ got Beaton and Dallas to call on so we’re effectively playing against 13, even 14 if you add the arsehole in the Board who’ll say NOTHING regardless of any peculiar decisions given by the 2 huns in charge.
Go on Celtic, hammer that scum on Sunday!
COME ON YOU BHOYS IN GREEN!
