Brendan Rodgers has repeated his pledge to deliver quality of signings expected by the Celtic support.

With less than four weeks remaining in the Transfer Window the Celtic boss has brought in two goalkeepers and converted Paulo Bernardo’s loan deal into a five year permanent move.

Celtic’s 1-11 remains very strong as their performances to date have shown, today’s win over Kilmarnock was the fourth successive match that they have scored four goals in.

There are however a couple of positions that they are vulnerable in with Kyogo Furuhashi the only available striker and Greg Taylor the only left-back with first team experience.

Earlier this year Celtic looked very vulnerable when Cameron Carter-Vickers, Callum McGregor and Reo Hatate were out injured with Rodgers well aware that additional quality options are needed to cope with an eight match Champions League campaign.

I think that we see with the core group that we have very, very good players, so hopefully, we can add more tools to that over the window.

It has to be quality, that is what this club is about. The supporters demand the quality of player. We have a lot of players to grow and develop; we also need guys that can add that little bit of quality and change the game for you. That takes time. We all want it now, so hopefully, over the coming weeks, we can get that in.

It’s life; it’s the way it is, so we have to deal with that. I understand where supporters come from. They pay money; they want see the best team on the pitch.

While Rodgers looks to add quality to his squad Chelsea are the latest side to be linked with a move for Matt O’Riley.

Irrespective of who we sign over the remaining weeks…To start our League campaign with one recognised striker is totally unacceptable.
Kyogo, who, let’s be honest , doesn’t take kindly to tackles, was involved in at least two clashes yesterday that could have resulted in injury.
How BR can justify this is beyond me…and before anybody mentions that Idah is coming….That long running fiasco is also unacceptable.
I’d love to know BR’s take on that.
