Ianis Hagi has declared his love for all things ‘Rangers’ after failing to get a summer transfer away from Ibrox.
Turning 26 in October the midfielder has discovered that there is very little interest in someone that has failed to make any impact in Italy, Belgium, Scotland or Spain despite the hype generated by his father and his media messengers.
After being involved in four matches for Romania at the European Championships there should have been some interest in Hagi Junior but matching his Ibrox salary is clearly an issue.
A one paced midfielder that rarely scorers or creates goals isn’t going to attract much interest with Hagi’s £1.1m a year Ibrox salary probably double the market rate.
Unless his agents can conjure up a move to Trabzonspor or Al Ettifaq in the Saudi Pro League it looks like being a long miserable season ahead for the former Golden Boy.
On 6 June Football Scotland reported Hagi saying:
I had talks with my agents and the pressure is on them. They know what I want for my future, it’s a pretty important summer for me from all points of view. I told them before going to the national team what I wanted.
I expect them to work as well as possible, to find the right team and the right manager for me. I can’t say if I’ll be at Rangers or somewhere else. My future depends on my agents.
There are believed to be offers to take Hagi back to Romania but his weekly Ibrox wage would become his monthly pay with all interest in Gheorghe’s boy coming to a halt.
It is widely reported that one more appearance for the 2012 Ibrox Tribute Act will result in a £6,000/week rise in salary for the remaining two years of Hagi’s contract.
How many signings will Celtic make in the last 10 days of the Transfer Window
Zero or one signing at a notoriously difficult time
Two permanent signings from the CEO
Three or more non project signings

I’m really surprised that BBC Scotland have not got Hagi or the ‘ Toddler ‘ as analysts either on radio or TV while they are surplus to requirements at Ibroxland /Hampdenland ? I’m sure the lucrative pay package from the beeb would help cover lack of win bonus’s for both misfits . There surely will be at least a slot for one of them as wee Dickie Foster has had his collar grabbed by Plod recently and may be off air for some time for speaking out of turn …then again maybe not ?
It’s a wee Crying shame fur Cludgie.. Another Masterstroke by Del Boy Beale.. God Bless im lol!
Kerchin£! He will sit and happily collect that wage packet every week for the next 2 years, because nobody us going to match his ibrox salary, and as for that wage he is picking up for being a serial loser, well the ibrox klub have themselves to blame there.
“Rangers Ready”, eh?! He should just post a photo of himself playing the flute and be done with it!
