Alexandro Bernabei seems to be finding his form on loan in Brazil, starting his 12th match for Internacional and providing an easy assist in the 2-2 draw at home to Red Bull Bragantino.
After a promising first season at Celtic under Ange Postecoglou where he became a trusted back up to Greg Taylor, starting 12 matches things went into rewind last season.
Despite scoring the only goal of the goal in a pre-seaon friendly win against Gamba Osaka Baeernabeo quickly fell out of favour after sleeping in for the team meeting for the SPFL opener against Ross County.
When he was left out of Celtic’s Champions League squad it was effectively the end of the road on his hoops career, just one season into a five year deal.

Left-back has been a problem position for Celtic for some time with Boli Bolingoli, Diego Laxalt and now Bernabei unable to get close to the standards set by Greg Taylor.
Even with the transfer window closed, at the start of March Rodgers sanctioned the loan deal for Bernabei which left him with no natural left-back cover for a critical stage of the season.
It took until the final week of the summer transfer window for Celtic to sign cover for Taylor in the form of Alex Valle, out of sight Bernabei is now getting regular football in the Brazilian top flight.
A return to Celtic seems highly unlikely but if the defender who turned 24 on Tuesday continues to impress there could be a permanent move to a South American side on offer.
Internacional are sitting in eighth place in the Serie A table with 42 points picked up from 26 matches.
None of the summer 2022 signings made by Mark Lawwell are still at the Celtic with Sead Haksabanovic, Ben Siegrist, Moritz Jens and Oliver Abildgaard all playing elsewhere.

Liewells Son eh! F**in CLUELESS!! Wee Dik thot he wiz playing FIFA!!
I think Bernabei proved he’s got lots of talent.
As a young guy in a foreign land he probably needed a proper mentor.
I don’t know if he did or didn’t have one but there’s doubtless a player in there.
Greg Taylor has been impressive and consistent since his move from Killie but is sometimes found out (along with Liam Scales) against tougher opposition.
Valle had some difficult moments vs Falkirk but mostly because he was being fouled and the hun in black/orange/specsavers chose not to see it. Both ‘goals’ for starters.
End of day it’s down to time and telling but I would NOT write Bernabei off unless his off-field behaviour is still letting him down.
