Ibrox fans pile in on Tavernier abuse

Ibrox fans are being whipped into another frenzy of excitement over the possible departure of James Tavernier.

Even by his own miserable standards the start of this season has been grim for Captain Disappointed who has watched Celtic pick up 19 of the last 24 domestic trophies.

Another runaround against Celtic was widely predicted by fans of both sides- after 17 minutes there was that familiar sinking feeling on Tav’s face as Daizen Maeda ran off him to open the scoring.

The club captain ducked out of facing the media after the match but there was no escaping when he returned to Ibrox and found one angry young bear looking for an explanation from the serial loser.

Tav is and always has been a League One journeyman, that is the explanation with many bears regretting his place in the Hall of Fame and being retained as captain under successive managers.

Started on September 1, a total of 2,000 replies have been made to the Tav thread which has been viewed 57,000 times on Follow Follow.

The media frenzy over a move to Turkey looks flimsy at best, with Giovanni van Bronckhorst in charge at Besiktas he knows better than most the multiple playing and personality failings of the former Wigan ace.

With two years left to run on a contract that was signed soon after losing the 2022 Europa League Final the player has little to worry about as efforts get more and more desperate to move him on to trim £2m a year from the wage bill.

He is injured and will be out for a couple of months will be the spin put on it when he is a no show over the next number of games coming up,should he still be there.

    • BriBhoy says:

That was pretty much how they managed his pal Goldson’s absence, followed by his exit, so you’re probably right.

  • Johnno says:

There are still opportunities available for captain disappointed even if he can’t end his sevco misery?
Captain Disappointed can always play the part of Freddie Krueger in the new version of
    “Nightmare at the shithole”

  • The Joker says:

Not to worry there are plenty of Turkish teams looking to sign the flop, with a figure of £5.5 million being branded about for him.
There’s always a Comical Ali kicking about somewhere.

  • The Joker says:

A wee bit of Comedy Gold from the Evening sevco,ex-sevco loanee player Malik Tillman remember him,he is heading to Juventus onloan in January.

There is a catch to the above story only if sevco allow thee loan deal to go ahead as they are due 20% of any fee for the player be that onloan or if he should be sold.

Lol even though the player doesn’t belong to sevco.

So let me get this right
The Deludamolians are touting a move for captian purepants to this turkish team because GVB happens to be there and GVB is happy to hand over £5.5m to ragers 2012 as a wee backscratcher
Is This the same GVB who was shat all over by the board of ragers 2012 when manager , by them entertaining the brains behind Gerrard in the directors box at the sheep game .
With rumours abound that beale was requested by the influential players in the dressing room , one of which was said to be captain purepants .
    Hmmmmm
