Kris Boyd has doubled down on his warning over the threat to Celtic that Tony Bloom could pose.
In midweek the man behind the transformation of Brighton was linked with a £10m recruitment investment for Hearts who are currently sitting bottom of the SPFL with one point and are out of the League Cup.
Twice in the last three seasons Hearts have finished a distant third but Boyd is convinced that they would be challenging for the title if Bloom becomes involved.
While improvement is very, very likely it is a huge stretch to imagine a club with an 18,000 seater stadium taking the title from Celtic when the hoops have a turnover above £100m and are on a clear upward trend on and off the park.
Boyd has never been comfortable with Celtic success which brings him grief online and at matches when he is on duty for Sky Sports with Chris Sutton
Doubling down on his Bloom warning Boyd tells The Sun:
This is a guy who doesn’t ever do things on a whim.
He’s a serious businessman with an analytics firm that knows EXACTLY how to identify up and coming talent.
He buys and sells players for a profit. But crucially he does while making football clubs successful along the way.
This may sound crazy, but I’m convinced if Bloom gets involved in Hearts then they could be challenging for the Premiership title in the coming years.
I know that’s far-fetched to some folk especially Celtic supporters who will believe their club is in a different stratosphere to everyone else in Scotland right now, both on the park and off it.
But Bloom is someone who doesn’t do things by half measures and if his Starlizard group have identified Hearts as a club with genuine potential then I’m prepared to believe there will be good reason for that.
Closing the gap between second and third place would be a good starting point for Bloom while the UEFA Conference offers the chance to gain income and develop players with Hearts facing Dinamo Minsk in that competition on October 3.
Challenging and toppling Celtic for a £40m Champions League pay day is another issue entirely.

Bollocks Kris……NEXT PLEASE….!!
Bhoyd ya clown won’t this set Rangers back even further
So, Boyd think that Celtic are in another “stratosphere”!
A Freudian Boyd-ian slip there methinks!
Mr Void-Boyd…
Us Celtic supporters would actually WELCOME some competition from The Scumbos actually ya know…
But where in the actual fuck would that leave your beloved as of today 12 years and 54 days old club !
Billionaires from far off lands are always shrewder than ones from near home!
Billionaires from far off lands are always shrewder than ones from near home!
Big fake Kris Boyd . I came up with that myself without the help and persuasion of a ‘ghost writer ‘ ….
Psst. Boydie, Want to buy some magic beans?
Desperate.
If anybody on here knows Sutty, could you get him to explain Financial Fair Play to Boyd? And make a video of it. It would be a best seller.
