Vaclav Cerny has admitted that his side were outclassed in everything by Celtic during the Glasgow Derby.
The winger arrived at Ibrox on loan from Wolfsborg just before the start of the season and got his first experience of Scotland’s highest profile match at the weekend where his side lost 3-0.
Since Sunday there has been an incredible reaction from Ibrox fans fearing that they already face an uphill task in the SPFL after just four matches.
The character of the players has been called into question with Cerny’s comments picked up by Football Scotland unlikely to lighten the mood around Ibrox:
We didn’t do well at all, they outclassed us in everything. Now we have to catch them at any cost, that’s our main goal. I haven’t seen such a rivalry for a long time.
Of course, I never played for Sparta Prague or Slavia Prague in their derby but compared with our main derby it is far bigger and more brutal.
Cerny is away on international duty at the moment which can be a worrying time for clubs when players may let slip with a comment that is allegedly lost in translation.
Being outclassed in everything is quite a confession to make with fans looking closely at every aspect of players performances with 100% commitment the minimal expectation.
