There seems little doubt that Thursday’s 4-1 defeat from Lyon has dealt a serious blow to the credibility of Phil Clement.
Next weekend the former Monaco boss will celebrate a year in the job but an increasing number of fans are coming to the conclusion that no progress has been made under Micky Beale’s successor.
While Clement clutches on to convenient statistics and tells the media messengers that he has an exciting young team many rank and file bears are realising that there is no substance to those excuses.
It seems that the next bad result will swing the majority of fans against the manager, when the heat turns to the Boardroom the favoured solution is to bin the boss and start spinning again about the next Revolution!
Across social media bears are discussing the good old days of Connor Goldson and John Lundstram, there has been debates over whether Scott Wright would have scored from the sitter presented to Vaclav Cerny early on against Lyon.
Before the start of the season Clement claimed that it would be October and November before fans get to see the benefits of his Revolution!
So far October doesn’t look promising, after the lessons from Lyon around 30,000 are expected to attend tonight’s match with St Johnstone.
After the international break there is a trip to the plastic of Rugby Park, a visit from Steaua Bucharest and a trip to Pittodrie before October comes to an end.
It wouldn’t be the greatest surprise in the world if Alex Rae steps up as Caretaker Manager for the League Cup semi-final against Motherwell on November 3.
