Last Sunday Hugh Keevins was working himself into a frenzy over the prospect of Celtic losing 10 goals to Atalanta, more directly it was about Brendan Rodgers losing double figures in Europe.
Since he sat beside big Derek Johnstone in 2016 tipping Mark Warburton to win the SPFL title the Irishman has been a near constant thorn in the veteran reporter’s side by destroying the tradition O** F*** trophy share.
Life was simpler for a reporter in the days of Sir Walter and Coisty when you would turn a blind eye to dubious remuneration schemes and reheat the same old material for every colossal clash between the Glasgow giants as the world of football looked in with envy. In truth barely anyone south of Gretna gave it a second glance.
Rodgers won an Invincible Treble, he added another and teed Celtic up for a third, the hoops have won 19 of the last 24 domestic trophies leaving the cherished O** F*** trophy trading model in tatters.
Rather than deal with the present, the way ahead, Keevins is more comfortable recalling February 2019 when Rodgers left Celtic for Leicester.

If the purpose of publishing his ‘controversial’ (‘antagonistic’ would be more accurate) ramblings is to get us to read the Sunday Mail by annoying us, it has completely failed. I couldn’t tell you the last time I bought it. I’m not sure it’s this century, unless I got one from somebody selling early editions round the pubs on a Saturday night. He is a complete irrelevance, like his newspaper which is only read by fat, red-faced old Huns who are too stupid to operate a smartphone. Most purchasers will currently be waddling to the newsagents to buy it and some baccy, breathing heavily in their ill-fitting red white and blue tracksuits accompanied by their ugly wee dug, which will be called ‘Cooper’, ‘Coisty’, ‘Laudo’ or possibly just ‘Billy’.
As much as I agree with you , talking about him just makes him more determined to carry on with his so called opinion on CELTIC FANS , we should just ignore him and don’t phone clyde either, for a radio station to say they are neutral and employs people like D J & A RAE , they’re just as much to blame, my advice ignore writing about him and don’t phone him , let’s see how long they can survive without our fans buying papers or phoning them up , leave it to the rangurzzz fans ??
Editor: There is no prospect of the Daily Record surviving in print, only a matter of time before they go digital only on a much scaled back basis without the luxury of expensive pundits/ Shock Jocks.
I go to the CELTIC matches on a bus. Our group on this bus totals 10 and they range in age from 25 to almost 80 . When BR left CELTIC for the EPL we all had differing opinions on him moving, so what, he is only 1 man,we will never forget,he will be on more money,etc etc …… the one thing we all agree on when BR came back is…. if he puts a winning team on the park (which he has) we don’t care about the past….so what wee “insignificant” keevins beleives and is trying to convince others ..is totally made up p+&h
