Another Ibrox star hits out at moaning fans

Vaclav Cerny has become the latest of Phil Clement’s stars to react to the abuse from loyal Ibrox fans.

The on loan winger has barely kicked a ball since his stunning solo goal against Motherwell and was posted missing in the 3-0 drubbing at Celtic Park.

During the home defeat from Dinamo Kiev Cyriel Dessers reacted to the boos and groans from his own fans with Cerny following that routine during Sunday’s win at home to Hibs.

Cerny had failed to beat a defender or deliver a worthwhile cross throughout the match, when he miscontrolled a pass early in the second half the groans got louder with the winger throwing his arms up and shouting at the fans.

On duty for Sky Sports Neil McCann warned:

I tell you what, Cerny needs to calm himself down. He has actually having a go at the fans there – the fans are really unhappy he’s not opened up his body with the ball inside and he’s remonstrated. He has thrown his arms up and told them where to go.

Soon after Cerny was substituted to great cheers from the home fans.

Signed on loan before the SPFL opener at Hearts, the 26-year-old made one 12 minute substitute appearance at the European Championships which allowed the mainstream to bill him as a Euro star.

The reality is that Wolfsborg signed him for £7m from Twente in the summer of 2023 and were happy to sent him out on loan after one disastrous season in the Bundesliga where he started 22 matches, scored no goals and made four assists.

Lol it must be rubbing off from the manager these TANTRUMS,just look at Comical Ali at the presser the other day after they scraped by Hibs 1-0.
Watch for the games coming up if you think he and the players are losing the plot,if the next 2 to 3 games don’t go to plan PANIC stations will set in and Tavpen will do another Lord Lucan and Shergar disappearing act,and some other duff beer player will fave the camera’s.

Cantwell, Tilman, Ramsey, they do this all the time. When he first arrived on loan, Amad Diallo was hailed as a £30m Man Utd wonderkid, who Utd would eventually build their team around, once he returned to Old Trafford, having learned his trade from international superstars like TavPen, Kent and Morelos. He scored on his debut too, from memory (or very shortly after signing at least) to become the latest in a long line of would-be messiahs. Wasn’t long before he was one of the boo boys’ favourite targets though. Seems to be doing OK at Utd despite all that (albeit they’re pretty poor), having done well at Sunderland. Seems like that did more to boost his career (and his confidence), which actually regressed playing for that mob.
