Arrogant Clement offers Aberdeen title advice

From six points adrift in third place Phil Clemet is dishing out advice to Jimmy Thelin on how to cope with a title challenge!

The arrogance of the Belgian Beale could rebound spectacularly if his side fail to win on Wednesday night but after scraping past St Mirren he felt in a position to discuss the title prospects of Aberdeen.

With any level of self awareness Clement should have batted that question aside to concentrate on his own team who have scored just one goal away from home this season.

Drawing blanks at Tynecastle, Celtic Park and Rugby Park has been costly for Clement’s side who now have to find at least a goal against a side that has won 14 of their 15 matches with the other game a 2-2 draw at Celtic Park, a venue that Clement has lost at three times in three visits.

I think they have done exceptionally well. If they keep this level all season then they will be in contention.

But I’m focused on Rangers and raising our level month by month and making things better here with the squad.

So I’m not busy with that, it’s still how many games to go until the end of the season, 29? So it’s still a long way to go.

Only a complete fool would back Clement to be in charge for those 29 matches, if Thelin shows him up on Wednesday night he could be following Erik Ten Hag onto the job market.

When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.
Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement, cheers big man.
There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same more than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying every success for Scotland's Most Successful Club.

It’s curious that the SMSM obediently quotes Clement verbatim,

garbled English included. Doesn’t do him any favours: has the SMSM been

warned not to interpret / brush up his quotes?

    And as for Wednesday night…

if any game this season is guaranteed to generate controversy and ill will

    it is this fixture.

And as Jimmy Thelin is not familiar with ‘West of Scotland’ ways in the SPFL,

he just might make some honest comments after the game,

    and whatever the result?

Will definitely be worth watching this game:

mibbees Dessers will flounce off the pitch, greetin’ again? 🙂

Nothing wrong in what he was saying ,obviously if they show this consistency they will be contenders. You are having a dig when one isn’t needed. Stop concentrating on them, this is supposed to be a Celtic fan blog. No wonder they could say we’re obsessed, quite a lot of times on this website you have 6 or 7 articles in a row about the Huns.

Editor: If the content is upsetting you don’t click, plenty of folk prefer an alternative to the Daily Record and BBC.

Well said Joe,if they’re not happy with your content they can fuck off and read the daily sevco ranger record.
