Footy Headlines has claimed that Celtic are one of four clubs being promoted by Adidas to Elite level.

Celtic are in the final year of their five year contract with the iconic sportsware firm but it seems only a matter of time before a fresh deal is announced.

Elite clubs get additional attention with bespoke training and leisurewear with a higher profile which will no doubt generate additional revenues.

Late this afternoon Footy Headlines revealed:

Another team that Footy Headlines can confirm will become an Adidas elite club from the 25-26 season is Celtic.

Along with AS Roma and Newcastle United, Celtic will also become an Adidas elite team from the 25-26 season. This means Celtic will receive authentic kits (Heat.Dry technology) and the Trefoil logo on their third shirt.

Like AS Roma, Celtic’s current tier is B Premium. Celtic will be promoted by Adidas to the A tier, making them an elite club from the 25-26 season.

From what we know so far, Adidas will be adding four more teams (Liverpool, AS Roma, Newcastle United and Celtic) to their elite team catalogue, bringing the total number of elite teams to nine for the 25-26 season.

For years Celtic fans pined to have the Adidas treatment of the iconic hoops, Adidas have gone full on with regular releases of new training kit and leisurewear.

Earlier this year it was announced that Celtic were in 17th place across Europe in terms of merchandise sales, with a new deal and Elite status in the pipeline they could be pushing towards the top 10 with one of the most distinctive and visual home kits in sport.

What also comes with becoming Elite with Adidas is the fact that you’ll need to spend £100+ to buy the same shirt the players wear. Whereas the ordinary replicas we have always bought will look different to the actual match shirts.

The only positive is that we will probably get even more money out of Adidas now.

While I’m happy with the money the club get, the next time we see a decent kit will be a first. It feels like they are employing huns to “design ” our Kits.
Not impressed, they can fvck off , Nike are way bigger

I quite liked that black away one from last season…

The Hoops quite plain this season but I’m not too keen on that black ‘upstripe’ though…

Not too keen on the prices either !

  • KC67 says:

Ach well, Celtic PLC No. 1 Arsehole, Peter Thomas Lawwell, will have his stinking name all over this and luxuriously bathe in the name CELTIC, and A Club Like No Other whilst actually BEING a cunt like no other.
I remember hearing of……..a dream……..a way of feeding the poor………The Walfrid and associates in 1887…….and now we have this?
Utter treachery by tory bastards leeching off us, and the poor.
    Desmond, Lawwell et al!
    There’s ALWAYS a solution……and like in Nelson Mandela’s days, always a method.
I’m absolutely okay with that and will happily join a form of revolution but I don’t have the where-with-all to strike out on my own.
I thought we were Rebels…….we certainly were once upon a time.
