Partick Thistle caused a shock in the SFA Youth Cup yesterday when they hammered the Murray Park starlets 5-3.
Masterminding the triumph was Mark Wilson, the former Celtic full-back better known these days for his double act with Gordon Dalziel on Super Scoreboard which occasionally covers football matters.
With the benefits of state-of-the-art facilities at Murray Park and coached by former EBT star Steven Smith the Ibrox aces were strong favourites going into the match as holders of the trophy.
Full-Time at Petershill Park.

Thistle led three times in the match but a 90th minute equaliser from Lewis Stewart ought to have been a real sickener.
Wilson’s side weren’t put off, they struck back with goals in the second and sixth minutes of stoppage time in what is known as a double Bobby Tait.
Speaking to ‘Rangers TV’ after the match Smith didn’t attempt to sugarcoat the fact that his side had been outclassed and outplayed by Thistle, coached by Gordon Dalziel’s radio sidekick.
Celtic went out earlier in the competition, losing 2-0 at home to Morton.

Mark Wilson will be crowing about this on Clyde tomorrow. I hope you’re proud of yourselves.

You’ve got to be fucking joking. That’s humiliating.
Honestly, that’s fucking horrendous.
Partick Thistle should not be beating Rangers Football Club, at any level.
