After hammering FCSB 4-0 last Thursday all was well in Ibrox media circles.
Following the 1-0 defeat from Kilmarnock Stevie Clifford had questioned Phil Clement about the long ball tactics and boring style of football, that tone of questioning didn’t go down well with A Proper Football Manager.
Clifford, the driving force behind Four Lads Lost A Team, was trending on social media with most fans critical of the off hand way that Clement had reacted to the mildest of criticism.
A day later after putting on a feast of football to destroy the Romanian aces of FCSB it was all happy smiley faces as the two baldies shared a tender moment before going on duty.
Philippe Clement sees me & embraces me at the entrance to the press conference
‘Not too many long balls for you tonight then?!’

I’d loved to have been a fly on the wall at that meeting back in August when theRangers board , including the now departed John Bennett,
as Chairman ,decided that it was a right and fitting decision to award Mr Clem-ohn an extension on his contract with presumably better financial incentives too . I bet there were no ‘ fingernails’ being tapped on the table top waiting for an answer to the proposal ..if you catch my drift ?
Monsieur Toenail must stay!
£17m losses
9 points behind Aberdeen by Halloween
Fans in meltdown .
Next day the Daily Record’s headline ..
Barry Ferguson says ‘ Bring in Jordan Henderson ‘
Just fckin absurd
This IDIOT is the Clowns Clown lol! Give him ANOTHER 5 Yr extension BAWAHAHAHAHAHA!!
The problem is the fans’ unrealistic expectations which brings pressure on the manager.
Its like if Ferrari went bust and someone bought their garage and replaced the car with a Lada painted in
Ferrari colours and sent it out to compete in F1, claiming it was the same vehicle, backed by a complicit media, then it is obvious there will be problems.
Each time they lose they blame and change the driver and the management team while ignoring the fact they are not Ferrari. It will continue until they admit it and ditch the champagne tastes and beer money”.
Great analogy, Charlie. It made me laugh and, if any lurkers, it will anger them because it’s so true.
