Embracing the spirit of transparency John Gilligan has reassured loyal bears that everyone at Ibrox is working really, really hard and that everything inside the club is running smoothly to plan.
Seventy-something Gilligan was drafted in as Caretaker Chairman when none of the club directors offered to step up after John Bennett walked away.
As well as funding the Clement Revolution the ‘to do’ list includes appointing a CEO, a Chairman, Director of Football Operations and Academy Director.
Chairman’s Update

Bennett delivered two similar statements over the summer before bailing out, Gilligan at least had the good news of the Copland Stand reopening to share in his statement.
However concentrating on clean sheets against Dundee and St Johnstone and warning the Union Bears over the future use of pyro appears to be ignoring the elephant in the room.
Phil Clement has reached one year in the manager’s job with no style of play or strategy imposed on the club, earning him the less than endearing nickname of the Belgian Beale.
A 4-1 caning from the 11th best team in France was gently side-stepped by Gilligan, if there are any more defeats this month the Caretaker Chairman may be forced into the inevitable change with Alex Rae ready and waiting, again.

Club going to be setup from the very top by two people who have zero accountability after that setup has been in place.
The board is a disgrace by gladly allowing this to happen.
Parks, Wolhardt, Taylor, Johnston, Halsted. Every one a charlatan who shouldn’t have a tie.

Clean sheets against teams of low quality is a good enough standard for Gilligan.
Pathetic statement.

The chairman & the board can say what they want but the reality is the majority of fans are finished with them. There is no trust. One of the worst run clubs in Europe. The fans are right there is no leadership! Longest ceo appointment in history!

Pyro until you all stop treating the club like your little play thing.
Fix the mess, or better yet, leave.

Been hearing about a short list of candidates for ceo surely some of them have been interviewed by now and some progress surely ?
Currently a joke right now

You’re better than that John. There are far more bigger problems with the club than those mentioned in the statement.

Get to fuck start running the club properly before calling out the fans

A Year of Clement – Time to Reflect
Has he improved the team? ?
Is there a clear playing style? ?
Has he challenged Celtic? ?The contract extension wasn’t earned#clementout #pc #rangersfc #ibrox pic.twitter.com/ndpOuLmTiH

Perhaps it has now actually reached the point that anyone with an inkling to do a job like that realises they are untouchable, a toxic cesspit that even the best of CEO’s would make not a jot of difference. Any right thinking person wouldn’t go near that place, career suicide, that’s why the Kings n Greens of this world are the type they do get, opportunists who smell gullibility from a mile off.
The thing is, the interim ‘Executive Chairman’,
without a CEO and several other senior positions,
cannot make any major changes to sevco.
Logically, he must get a CEO in first, who would then effect changes,
and be accountable thereafter.
The new CEO would not be inheriting decisions they didn’t agree with.
So, Gilligan and the other [?] Directors are simply waiting.
Additionally, it makes sense to leave Clement in post,
and let the new CEO decide his fate?
sevco is just rapidly losing time it doesn’t have.
4 months since the CEO left a club – and which was already in a deepening crisis:
that indicates a level of incompetence throughout the RIFC organisation?
Just a wee, but crucial, few FACTS for those in their (new huns) support and also many elsewhere, including here.
Rangers FC DIED in 2012; hence the END of Rangers. It was all over the news FFS, here and elsewhere. So what REALLY happened?
Con-men like Green and Whyte (oh, the irony) got involved, both having experience of stripping carcases (like Rangers FC). A shower of liars lay down in their lairs and concocted the biggest open LIE in football history. They all, Green, Whyte, Duff and Phelps, the SMSM, the SFA and the (then) SPL. Absolute lying scum to a person involved. (Duff and Phelps had a case to answer but the Clouseau-esque Police Scotland went for the wrong ‘crime’)
SEVCO was born (and there’s even more shit here as it was SUPPOSED to be another Sevco, Sevco 5088 that was ‘the preferred bidder’ and would buy the assets. Green conned Whyte here.) Anyway, Rangers FC DIED. Not relegated (impossible under rules) nor demoted (another fantasy) just DIED.
NOT A CLUB! As Sevco Scotland Limited (a new company) bought the assets (on the cheap for some unknown reason) was a company with no history, no FOOTBALLING or other history then, by definition, the current iteration, The Rangers Football Club Limited (achieved by a name-change from Sevco Scotland Limited) is NOT a football club in the old and respected manner. IT IS A COMPANY with the word ‘club’ inserted to complete the lie they seriously believed they’d get away with.
On Sunday 29th July 2012, subsequent to the notorious 5-Way Agreement sent out on Thursday 26th July 2012, Sevco Scotland Limited played Brechin.
Sevco Scotland Limited changed its name 2 days later, 31st July 2012, to The Rangers Football Club Limited. THAT’S WHAT REALLY HAPPENED and I’ll furnish proof to any genuine, sensible enquiries on this site or elsewhere.
‘Lest you forget’, a company NOT a football club and never let THEM forget it!
Great post TicToc !
Aye I’m always calling them Sevco on here and elsewhere I never let up and won’t either…
I’ve printed screenshots of the rags headlines and pictures of the time and whip them outta ma pockets from time to time as concrete evidence in any debates…
Yep – As of today Sevco are 12 years and 80 days old…
We shall NEVER let them forget it !
Loving their pain…and long may it continue.
And as I’ve wondered before…
Why no 5 stars on their poorly made jerseys any more ?
Still… as Tic Toc has expertly described…This new Club is as toxic as the former one was.
