Fuelled by the media hype Greegsy Gloves reached to his Twitter account early on in the Europa League clash with Lyon.

Since his first back-pass at Tynecastle in the opening SPFL match Connor Barron has been bigged up beyond belief with Steve Clarke being taken in by including the former Aberdeen midfielder in his squad for the September internationals.

Being the pick of the summer signings at Ibrox isn’t really much to brag about but that label has been on Barron regardless of how he has performed on the pitch.

With expectations low taking the ball from John Lundstram, advancing 10 yards then passing sideways to James Tavernier has been enough to start the speculation over how much the 22-year-old will fetch when the inevitable transfer bids come in.

Nineteen minutes into last night’s match with the score level at 1-1 Robin Propper played a simple pass to Barron, barely looking up the former Pittodrie starlet played the ball inside, Malick Fofana was on it, Souttar was backtracking with Alexander Lacazette netting seconds later.

Barron’s head dropped, the analysts and cheer leaders looked the other way. Aberdeen fans and others laughed at his misfortune.

Over the last 18 months Todd Cantwell, Nicky Raskin and Jose Cifuentes have all had the same hype at attention, all three have less winners medals than Adam Idah.

Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement.

There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same. More than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying the ongoing successes of Celtic.

Hahahahaha! They let the real deal – Lewis Ferguson – slip through their fingers for the sort of money they wasted on Lammers and about half what they wasted on Ryan Kent! So they ended up with the Poundland version of him! The best part is that they’re still to set a fee for this donkey at the tribunal and all this bigging him up could inflate the fee…..

Will he run away when The Sevco Huns go bust just like Creeksy did when The Rangers Huns went bust…

I say Creeksy because he left them (The Rangers Huns) up shit Creeksy without a paddle !
