New footage from halfway inside the Ross County half has surfaced of Nicolas Kuhn’s 87th minute winning goal.

Going into the closing stages of the match there was the real prospect of Celtic dropping their first SPFL points of the season but a few seconds of work from the German turned the game around.

Running onto Alistair Johnston’s through ball Kuhn had one thing in mind- cut inside onto his left football and put a shot away. He did that to perfection with a well executed shot with the emphasis on accuracy rather than power with home ‘keeper Ross Laidlaw wrong footed as the shot went in inside his right hand post.

Kevin Clancy managed to find seven additional minutes from the second half but there was no threat of an equaliser from the home side.

Relief was the main emotion at the final whistle at securing a domestic win after the trauma of the Champions League defeat from Dortmund.

Kuhn will enjoy the rare treat of a 13 day break between matches as he prepares for Matchday 8 and the visit of Aberdeen without the distraction caused by international football.

When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.

Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement.

There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same. More than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying the ongoing successes of Celtic.

When you play badly at a difficult venue against a well drilled, hard working team, and still win…Well that’s what winners do.
