Brendan Rodgers makes four changes to the Celtic side that drew 0-0 away to Atalanta for today’s trip to Motherwell.

Arne Engels, Nicolas Kuhn and Adam Idah drop onto the bench but the absence of Callum McGregor from the squad will cause some concern.

Alastair Johnston takes over as captain but with the benefit of the recent international break there wasn’t any expectation that McGregor would drop out.

Luke McCowan starts his first Celtic match alongside Paulo Bernardo with the forward line freshened up with the introduction of James Forrest and Kyogo Furuhashi.

After lengthy spells out injured Cameron Carter-Vickers and Greg Taylor are included among the substitutes.

David Dickinson will referee today’s match with Alan Muir on VAR duty

CELTIC: Schmeichel; Johnston (c), Trusty, Scales, Valle; McCowan, Hatate, Bernardo; Forrest, Kyogo, Maeda

SUBS: Sinisalo, Taylor, Palma, Idah, Kuhn, Yang, Carter-Vickers, Engels, Ralston

Joe McHugh has edited Video Celts since 2010, every day covering events in and around Scotland's most successful club.

When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.

Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement.

There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same. More than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying the ongoing successes of Celtic.

I’m going to be slaughtered either way but I predict without MacGregor holding things up we will score at least 4. I remember when he was out with that terrible face injury we were scoring freely. He came back and we lost to St Mirren, I think. Not saying he is a bad player but used wrongly.

McGregor has been off the last few weeks, he’s played about 600 games in the last 10 years. Maybe carrying a little knock and a rest will keep him fresh for next weeks semi and the Red Bull game.

Victor Meldrew trying to dug himself out of the hole he got himself in by blaming everyone else but himself for his stupid predictions.

He was at it again yesterday with another predictions meltdown,he had Aberdeen losing to Dundee United with sevco SCUDDING them on Wednesday to go back into second place, with the Aberdeen bubble bursting.

Now Aberdeen are top and could well extend that points tally should they beat sevco on Wednesday, and once again auld PISHY looking rather stupid again, but the it doesn’t take very much to get Victor Meldrew to look stupid.
