Matthew Anderson and Ben Summers scored the goals as Admira Wacker moved into top place in the Austrian Second Division with a 2-0 win away to Stripfing.

It was Anderson’s fifth appearance of the season for Admira with Summers scoring on his debut

Admira are at home to Austria Vienna on Friday but will be without Anderson who is in the Scotland u-21 squad for the matches against Belgium and Kazakhstan.

The loan deals were only completed at the start of September with the season well underway but with no equivalent options available in Scotland a full term in Austria will give both players the chance to accelerate their development.

The Admira website reported:

An exciting match day for Admira: Matthew Anderson and Ben Summers were the match winners who catapulted us to the top with their strong performances! Both showed why they are in top form and led the team to a well-deserved success with great effort.

With this top performance we are now at the top of the table and the fight for the title is becoming more and more exciting!

Dane Murray, on loan at Queens Park is also in the Scotland u-21 squad.

When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.

Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement.

There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same. More than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying the ongoing successes of Celtic.

It’s always welcome to hear of our homegrown talent progressing well, whether that will be to our benefit, remains to be seen?
Still we had a few setbacks in the summer regarding our homegrown quota requirements?
Still wasn’t filled sufficiently for my liking?
But hopefully over the course of this season, we might end up in a better position next season, regarding our homegrown quota requirements?
