There was an almost universal reaction to an incident at Ibrox yesterday as Connor Barron ran straight towards Toyosi Olusanya with his foot raised towards his opponent.
What about Yang?
In March at Tynecastle, from a stationary position the Celtic winger raised his foot as Alex Cochrane charged towards him.
Don Robertson initially booked Yang but after instruction from John Beaton he took a pitchside review and sent off the South Korean.
Doubling down a penalty was then awarded against Tomoki Iwata in what was to turn out to be Celtic’s last domestic defeat.
Rising star Calum Scott refereed St Mirren’s visit to Ibrox, as back up Greg Aitken from Kilmarnock was on VAR duty as the home side engineered a narrow victory.
He saw the Barron incident clearly, awarded St Mirren a free kick but took no further action despite the clear violent conduct towards an opponents. If the incident had been reversed…

On 1 August 2019 on Pie and Bovril, member Sweep spotted the signs that led Scott to yesterday’s Ibrox appointment:
I have read a lot about the controversy that surrounds this referee. Last night at Lugar he over ruled his linesman for a Cumnock goal ,
The Cumnock player was clearly offside yet he decided otherwise.. Cumnock were the better team and deserved to win, Scott left a lot to be desired In the 90th minute he awarded Cumnock a penalty for what ? Only he seems to know . This Man seems to be a law into himself and his controversy will ensue into his senior career . WATCH this Egoistic bighead in action.
One is a red card, the other just a free kick.
And the TICKLY HANDSHAKES continue.
Watch out Aberdeen, this is the type of quality refereeing your boys have in store this week!
The CHEATING has got so BLATANT these ref’s and the James Hunts on VAR are not giving a flying fuck.
St Mirren denied a clear penalty yesterday and Barron escaping unpunished for almost chopping the St Mirren player’s head off with a boot right on his coupon with no action taken.
Then we gave the Maeda incident in the Motherwell game, not one person has cone out to explain about the above decisions, all decisions that favoured one klub.
Yes Aberdeen better get themselves prepared for losing this game on Wednesday one way or the other sevco are coming back down the road with 3 points, and there is fuck all anyone can do about it,as no way can Aberdeen be allowed to go 9 points clear of sevco,as sevco don’t have the the money to sack Kojak so all must remain good in the hood at ibrox and get those points reduced and close the gap on Aberdeen.
They need to do that before they can even think about catching Celtic.
Who loves ya baby.
Apparently the klan are ready to take matters into their own hands by using VIOLENCE to force change at ibrox.
Looks like them doors are going to be getting kicked in again and the klan members are going to be running rioting on the marble staircase again.
Civil war has arrived.
I watched the 3 minutes or so Sky highlights clip on YouTube yesterday.
The St. Mirren penalty claim wasn’t included – but I later read about it.
The above shocker wasn’t included either, and I just read about it the day after.
Anyone who has ever kicked a ball,
even from primary school level onwards,
knows that the above clip is a straight red. No debate whatsoever.
That clip should be sent to UEFA,
and copied to the SFA / The Scottish Referees’ Association.
No wonder our match officials are not trusted at big tournaments!
They’ve become like our politicians: so brazen now,
that they don’t even bother to try to hide the corruption.
If you think for a nanosecond that some of the decisions by officials inside Ibroxland yesterday were to suit one team and one team only ,
just wait for Wednesday night’s game at Pittodrie stadium , where theRangers mark 2 cannot afford (oops) to fall 9 points behind Aberdeen and Celtic ….
Some of it is bias and some of it is fear.
Fear of being targeted by the Sevco mob for daring show a red, and fear of losing their career for the same reason.
That fanbase has almost all refs compromised one way or the other, that even extends to those they say assist us, they go out of their way to make decisions that show they don’t.
What var is doing is showing the world how corrupt it is to favouring sevco at every game, the referees and var assistants are totally shameless in there leanings towards the govan mob
Its a wonder the St. Mirren player wasn’t booked for headbutting the Sevco players foot.
Until the CLUBS ,who are affected by these decisions ,take a stand and officially call out for explanations on these types of decisions…then feck ’em
They get what they deserve.
And that includes US.
Nothing will change.
They have been doing it for yrs. and what has it got them. Sweet FA. Must be very disheartening for the refs after all their hard work.
