Scott Brown knew that he was going behind enemy lines when he agreed to a Charity night in Airdrie.

Any doubts about the target audience were wiped away with Graeme Souness and Tam Cowan joining the serial winner to answer questions from the audience.

Some of the sharpest brains in Airdrie decided to attend and wind up the Celtic skipper but as Andy Halliday, Joey Barton, Ian Black, Jason Holt and dozens of other Ibrox hardmen discovered Broony is just a bit too sharp for his ‘rivals’.

Since moving into management Brown’s physical appearance has been transformed by a full head of hair.

Personal hygiene is important for many people outside of Airdrie and other Scottish blackspots with the timing of Brown’s reply cutting the big man down in his tracks.

These days Brown is managing Championship leaders Ayr United, on 26th October he takes his side to take on Airdrie United.
