Of course the three events may be completely unrelated, or they could have been co-ordinated.
McInnes earned himself amazing goodwill among the Uber Staunch bears when he blamed Celtic for getting Nick Walsh to blow his whistle early during a minute of silence, the Kilmarnock boss also claimed that it was ‘oor silence#. For good measure there was some paranoia thrown in about a red card for Reo Hatate.
After the match Keith Jackson put the finishing touches to an incredible job application for his old mate Del Boy to explain, again, what really happened in November 2017. As well as reference to Sir Walter we had the emotional tale of the current Kilmarnock boss racing across the fairways on a Florida golf course to explain his decision to Ibrox Director John Gilligan. Gilly is old school, a right good blue nose with all that it entails. The thought of Gilly getting round a Florida golf course in summer, even with the aid of a buggy was pushing journalistic licence too far.
Conventional wisdom among bears is that McInnes ‘Sh** it’ from the job in 2017. Nothing to do with taking on a basket case club with a Chairman with a very lengthy charge sheet. McInnes has won one trophy in his career, no manager in the history of Charles Green’s Tribute Act has won more than that, true he does trail Callum Davidson.
Last night the finishing touches were added when Keith hosted the Record Hotline to add that personal touches for the campaign to get McInnes to Ibrox. Paying off Clement and compensating Kilmarnock might be a stretch for a club losing around £1.5m a month.
Without doubt Clement is finished, by and large the media messengers are holding back but the next domestic set-back will push the angry bears over the edge.
Alex Rae and Barry Ferguson are on stand-by with both already suited and brogued up for the task with places on the payroll.
Whoever takes over faces mission impossible with Celtic closing in on the title of the World’s Most Successful Club which is only relevant to Ibrox fans.
The weight of expectation whipped up by an impatient media makes the odds of failure overwhelming but with one of their own in the dug-out and poppy-points in the bank McInnes will be assured of a relatively easy ride with his Revolution!
Far as I’ve heard he knocked them back because he was told Tony Docherty wasn’t getting the gig as his number 2 as the fans wouldn’t tolerate a Fenian at ibrox.
They are Friar Tucked regardless of who the manager is,anyone taking over from baldy will get the red carpet feelgood factor praised upon him, only to fail the same as the previous 5,6 or 7 before him.
You could say that Mcinnes was pitching for the The Ragers gig in his post match all out attack on Celtic.
Bell end of a man !!!
While in many ways I’d be perfectly happy with McInnes at iBrox (he’s only laid a glove on us a few times given the amount of games he’s managed against us for Saints, Aberdeen and Kilmarnock) the chances are he’d steady the ship and stop them losing so many points to other clubs in Scotland, which in turn makes the derbies more relevant and the honest mistakes more impactful….
I still see finding the money to get rid of Clouseau and any entourage as the biggest stumbling block to this happening. This strikes me as the start of a dirty tricks campaign against him. Don’t be too surprised if he is put on gardening leave for unspecified breaches of discipline or contract and he ends up having to take them to court for the money he’s owed….
Editor: Warburtoned? Jackson hasn’t started this off his own back.
Yeah, possibly that but the imaginary resignation of Warburton made them look kinda stupid – a typical Dave King mess. Declare he is being suspended for a breach of contract or discipline and then embargo any further discussion of it ‘on legal advice’ and you’ve kicked the can – and the bill – down the road for a year. For a board of directors known for a lack of long-term vision or planning, that sounds about right!
When they gave Clement a new 4 year deal these morons were hailing it as a forward thinking plan
Look at the state of them now in that video
McInnes is nowhere near an elite level manager but that is a good fit for the huns since they will never be an elite level club.
Another reason McInnes is a good fit is his in thur faces blood and snotters approach, which the stupid huns lap up, since they know fuck all about football and appear to care even less. All they want to do is win by foul means preferably, given their history and culture.
It will be doomed to failure anyway, the only concern being how many genuinely talented footballers of other teams would be seriously injured along the way.
Rather than prepare for a weekend match with his full time coaching job at Kilmarnock FC, McInnes – the biggest fraud in Scottish football – can be seen moonlighting for TNT Sports as a guest mouth piece at Ibroxland at Europa league matches involving his preferred clumpany …theRangers .That is what he does to his Kilmarnock bosses and board ,when there is a vital game to be played 2 or 3 days later . Would you trust this guy ? I know I would not ….he’s unreliable , untrustworthy and uncertain …that’s on his best days !
Not enough ginger bottles in Scotland for this to happen unless the masters of the dark arts do what some other replies to the blog have suggested .
