The Daily Record has put two and two together from non-recent interviews to explain to their Army of Readers why Lennon Miller will snub Celtic in favour of a move to Ibrox!

It would be a move that involves no logic to a club in a downward spiral trapped by the delusions of angry supporters feeding off the content of outlets like the Record.

On the financial side Miller is out of range for the Ibrox side, football wise Phil Clement hasn’t improved a single player during his 13 months at the club.

Over the last two years the Record has shared the brilliance of Todd Cantwell, Nicky Raskin, Kieran Dowell, Jose Cifuentes, Mohammed Diomande and others have been trailed as game changers only to sink without trace.

Connor Barron is currently getting that treatment, Aberdeen haven’t looked back since the midfielder left Pittodrie, into November Barron has still to score his first goal for the 2012 Tribute Act with Aberdeen waiting on the transfer fee.

Moving to Celtic in January or in the summer seems the logical move for the 18-year-old but that is the last prospect that Record readers want to learn about.

After finding an interview from Lee Miller on PLZ from September where he emphasises the need for Lennon to play regularly the Record turned to Craig Moore to explain why a move to Ibrox would work out perfectly:

But will Brendan Rodgers or Philippe Clement be able to guarantee the minutes Miller wants? It could be the difference maker for the talented teenager – and Craig Moore reckons the blue half of Glasgow could guarantee it.

He told Go Radio: “Lennon Miller has had a fantastic season and currently I think he could walk into the Rangers midfield area and continue to play there for his development [which] would be ongoing. Interesting time for Lennon Miller in terms of the decisions.

“There has got to be a lot of interest. It’s not just from Celtic and Rangers there are likely to be a lot of other interested clubs.

“But I think the benefit of playing games has been really crucial for him and he will look to find a similar situation where he is continuing to play ma tches. Motherwell are going to cash in at some stage whether that is January we will find out soon enough.”

So that’s it. The best young talent to emerge in the SPFL in more than a decade will go to a footballing graveyard where they change Revolution! every autumn.

If Miller wants the inside track on how to progress your career at Murray Park he can call his former Motherwell team-mate Bailey Wonderboy Rice.

With three substitute appearances in three years under four managers Rice gets to play in the SPFL Challenge Cup and selected friendlies as the fabled Conveyor Belt of talent at Murray Park grinds to a halt.

With funds tight and losses for this year on schedule to reach £20m Clement has already committed his club to spending £4m on Oscar Cortes in July 2025.
