Out of the despair sweeping around Ibrox over the weekend one truly heart-warming story has emerged from fan media.
Celtic fans have been spoiled for heroes over the last decade with Kyogo Furuhashi, Scott Brown, Odsonne Edouard, Moussa Dembele and Kieran Tierney all fitting the bill as heroes.
In recent times Matt O’Riley, Daizen Maeda, Patrick Roberts, Reo Hatate. Leigh Griffiths, Scott Sinclair and currently Nicolas Kuhn have had their moments of adulation.
At Ibrox it has been sort of thin pickings with James Tavernier, Todd Cantwell, John Lundstram and Alfredo Morelos the closest equivalents.
Phil Clement’s squad is currently short of talent, winners, ability and personality but it seems that for one 8-year-old bear the world starts and ends at the feet of ROSS MCCAUSLAND.

My little boy who is 8, I actually apologised to him, I said, I’m really sorry that you are having to watch this, there’s a lot of chat that people don’t have heroes’, but he said ‘Mum, I’ve got Ross McCausland’.
So don’t worry, all is not lost we have heroes for the younger generation.
Hopefully Super Ross has been sent that clip and can provide the young fan with even more moments of magic in the coming weeks.
McCausland has got six career goals to his name after making his breakthrough a year ago under Phil Clement.

Imagine one of the Chuckle brothers as your hero.
An uplifting antidote, indeed. I want to ask if she has an anecdote for being a thick rangers fan
She seems to not know the difference between an antidote and an anecdote – typical thick Hun.
I take it that the height of this wee lad’s ambition is to spend most of his time sat on a bench, like his hero, then?
So, the younger generation of Sevco enthusiasts have a hero all of their own, one who resembles Gareth from ‘The Office’ then, do they?!
Brilliant – that guy will be playing for Glentoran or Linfield in about three years.
Gareth from The Office is a good comparison: thick as shit and plug ugly – a typical hun in other words.
Just shows you,,you named about 10 names that are hero’s recently and there’s no Jota amongst them
