Phil Clement is apparently the talk of the nation as Belgium prepares the search for a new international manager.
That is the news from the Daily Record through their international network of contacts and sources.
With Ibrox fans screaming for Clement to be sacked they are now being teased over the prospect of a bumper compensation pay-out for the Belgian waffler.
A 1-0 defeat in Hungary against Israel seems like one set-back too many for Domenico Tedesco with a new manager expected ahead of the World Cup qualifiers in March.
Just like in Scotland very few people in Belgium are interested in the national side, after the defeat from Israel most fans will be looking forward to the return of club football at the weekend.
A similar yarn was spun last month about the Anderlecht job, David Hubert was appointed on October 10 with Clement never a contender.

In the unlikely event that Clement was a contender for the job he’d need to be prepared to take a significant drop in salary.
Despite a far higher profile Roberto Martinez was ‘only’ paid 1.2m euros a year while managing Belgium from August 2016 to December 2022.
With a contract that runs until May 2028 it is highly unlikely that any club or nation will be matching Clement’s wages for a guy currently sitting third in a two horse race.

Third in a two horse race? Strange, indeed!
And that’s with the assistance from their Brothers the MIBs.
A midtable team at best. If their friends weren’t bailing them out with not so honest mistakes
they would be a bottom 6 side facing relegation.
I think the cunt would jump at it if he was considered. Regardless of the pay. Would ger him out of the freak show over there
So the Belgium FA will pay compensation which won’t be cheap to pay off Tedesco, and then layout another fortune to sevco to get a duff beer of a manager.
So the press will be all over it now with multi million pounds compo heading the ibrox way with SQUIRREL stories of £20 million loose change for new players in January.
Funniest thing I’ve seen all day. I can assure everyone here that zombie clement is in the picture to be Belgian manager but only in the minds of the peepul.
Unless Belgium want to play mind numbingly shit football which zombies can’t even stick around to watch and I don’t think anyone in Belgium wants that ?
Demanding compensation for the departure of Clouseau would be hypocrisy elevated to the level of an art form…. but it is the huns we’re talking about, I suppose!
