Six days after curling in an outstanding equaliser against RB Leipzig UEFA has acknowledged the brilliance of Nicolas Kuhn.

A distant camera shot has been used with Slow Motion applied to appreciate the full brilliance of the strike.

Coming in from the right wing Kuhn doesn’t bother looking up until he has struck the ball, giving the goalkeeper no indication that a shot is about to drop just inside his right hand post.

Kuhn continued his run across the pitch as the ball flew into the net to be greeted with joy by over 56,000 home fans.

As the only German on the pitch at the start of the match there was a special irony about the identity of the scorer of Celtic’s first two goals.

Since Celtic’s pre-season trip to the United States Kuhn has maintained incredible standards with brilliant wing play topped off by goals and assists.

On Sunday he switched his skillset to the plastic pitch of Kilmarnock, cutting in to fire low across Robbie McCrorie in the 71st minute to put Celtic 2-0 in front.

No doubt it’s only a matter of time before the stuntman for Bill&Ben the flower pot men starts to compare his stats with us at Celtic.
The guy wouldn’t look out of place on stage with Big Donald lying through his Cowdenbeath.

The sheer quality of that goal……I’ve watched it dozens of times and that wee clip just showed another angle……absolutely FANTASTIC anywhere…..but when you’re a goal down in a CL game, WOW, just WOW. He deserves all the plaudits from Paradise to Patagonia. He runs at astonishing pace with no thought for himself and potential injury, just to do what he loves doing, running fast and scoring goals or otherwise assisting. Nicolas Kuhn’s a very special talent and I hope our Board (especially that Chairman) see that and improve his contract. But of course that been-counting prick will just be blown away by his favourite god, Mamon, and the potential income from transferring ANOTHER of our top talents and rewarding himself and his boss, Desmond, instead of helping Brendan build a team worthy of our supporters. One day Lawwell…..you’ll get your just desserts, and I hope it’s soon.
