Less than a month ahead of the League Cup Final Neraysho Kasanwirjo is a serious injury concern for Phil Clement with Ibrox fans fearing the worst.
Not only could the on loan Feyenoord defender miss the match but his absence makes it more likely that James Tavernier will have to face up to another mismatch with Daizen Maeda.
With 15 minutes left to play in a match against the England u-21 side Kasanwirjo put his right foot on top of the ball near the England goal, his right foot slid over, his left bucked and it was game over.
Whether it is an ankle or knee injury it looked bad for the young defender who has brought some solidity to a defence that has included comic cuts moments from Tavernier and Robin Propper.

With loyal bears howling for Tavernier to be dropped, stripped of the captaincy and having his contract torn up Phil Clement bowed to fan pressure by dropping the captain for the match with Olympiakos and putting Dujon Sterling in at right-back.
When the former Chelsea ace picked up his latest injury Clement turned to Kasanwirjo in the 52nd minute with many viewing that as a further snub on the club captain.
If the Dutch defender is out with a long term injury it leaves Clement to decide on how best to face Spurs and Celtic over the course of three days with an injury prone Sterling and heavily criticised Tavernier his options at right-back.
