Aberdeen are reported to be irked by the delay in receiving a fee for Connor Barron.
In June it was announced that with his Pittodrie deal about to end that the midfielder had moved to Ibrox on a four year contract.
A move outside of Scotland would have resulted in Aberdeen receiving a fee calculated by UEFA based on first team experience and the length of time that he had been in the Aberdeen Academy.
That calculation doesn’t apply to an u-21 player being transferred within Scotland, six months after the move took place Aberdeen are still out of pocket for the loss of a player that they developed from Academy into a Scotland u-21 internationalist.
Covering the Aberdeen AGM on a LIVE Blog, the Daily Record reports:
Burrows has revealed that the club are irked about the amount of time taken for the SPFL tribunal to inform Rangers of how much Rangers will have to pay for Connor Barron.
The Gers signed Barron on a free transfer last summer but Aberdeen are entitled to a significant fee from the player’s youth development.
Being irked doesn’t show up on your bank account or provide funds for the January transfer window, Aberdeen look to be in a battle for second place which provides access to Champions Leahue qualifiers.
When Lewis Ferguson left Hamilton in June 2018 to join Aberdeen in similar circumstances the SPFL had the fee decided by tribunal on August 21.
Rather than push for a decision on a fee it seems that Aberdeen have been content to sit back and allow others to decide when they can get a fee which should be between £500,000 and £1m.
Barron has played more matches for Phil Clement than any of the Belgian’s other summer signings.

Lol to think as well if anyone else was to come in and buy Stonner from sevco for stupid money say £5 million quid, sevco would sell him even though they haven’t paid Aberdeen the actual fee they are fue in the first place.
I blame the nickel&dime clubs in our league and I include our own team in that for allowing them to get away with it.
They are skint don’t have a pot to piss in and are allowed to bring players in they can’t afford and cheat other teams like Aberdeen probably out of champions league money they would be due after stealing 2nd place from them.
Now that is when other clubs in our league should be getting their lawyers on to the European Governing bodies and calling sevco out on this matter.
As I have said before, the klub that’s done more TAPPING than a blind man’s stick.
There is no mystery. Aberdeen copped out by saying they should have a better system in place but the system is doing its job perfectly. i.e. Aiding and abetting Sevco.
And the list grows stronger by calling big Ange a shitebag and how sevco are going to destroy his team on Thursday, this time from none other than Pee McCulloch.
Aberdeen can go feck themselves…Just another Club scared of Sevco …Including ours…Only in Scotland.
It’s out and out corruption . Aberdeen should take them all to court .
Aberdeen are just like celtic dirty cowards to stand up to they corrupt scumbags at hampden sfa.spfl and they cheats at liebrox..COWARDS COWARDS COWARDS THE LOT OF THEM.
