Chris Sutton knows what to do when he is presented with an open goal.
When Phil Clement claimed a Moral Victory after drawing 3-3 at home with Celtic in April it was a significant moment in the rapid downfall of the former Monaco boss.
Ever since then the silly comments have escalated as he clutched at xG, possession stats and the age of his exciting young team to mask up repeated failures.
Today at Hampden Clement came even closer to that elusive victory but once again finished second in a two hourse race.
Over the last six months the Belgian has led his side to losers medals in all three domestic competitions against Scotland’s most successful club.
Well played Celtic and Brendan Rodgers, absolutely relentless ????? Another moral victory maybe for Rangers though…

Sutton has heard all about umpteen Ibrox Revolutions in recent years but 12 years after formation by Charles Green the Ibrox club have won just two trophies in public despite racking up losses of over £100m.
Tomorrow new CEO Paddy Stewart reports to Ibrox for the first time, while Clement pleads for a January war-chest he is likely to be told to prepare for full on austerity.
Thankfully with his contract extended until May 2028 at the start of this season Clement will require a hefty pay-off in order to put Alex Rae or Barry Ferguson in a blazer and brogues for the home dug-out at Ibrox.

How can it be a moral victory for a club with no morals and a fascist support?
No more nonsense about the world’s most successful club!!
Delighted for obvious reasons…But not sure gloating is in order…It was a hard fought and close run game…and I thought that tactically they had us sussed…But gripe over…let the record show…WE WON THE CUP…Hail hail…
Ye that was to close for comfort if you ask me,they are knocking at the door with these games against us,they might just do it the next game.
Remember only opinion, which is like arseholes, everybody has one.
C’mon the hoops.
They brought their A+game, threw absolutely everything at us, we weren’t at our best and they still couldn’t do it.
Even on a bad day we have the individual talent and guts to do the job a big big defeat by Celtic that will shake ibrox to the foundation Europe will just treat it as another win by Celtic what’s new anything the rangers yes and Rodgers done the difference at halftime and it worked
We haven’t been the best at penalties over the years, but when it came to the big one we very much were…
Thank you our five scorers and Kasper…
Sevco will be Penalty SICK !!!
My favourite bit of the day was just before kick off. I was listening to the Brighton v Palace match on 5 live when they interrupted the commentary to go to Hampden for a preamble before the match. Believe it or folks, the commentator stated ” Celtic going for trophy 119, Rangers going for 4 in 10 years. Gary Wallace, I think it was.
