More misery for Dinamo Zagreb ahead of Celtic clash

Ahead of facing Celtic on Tuesday, Dinamo Zagreb have held to a 1-1 draw at home by Slaven Koprivnica.

New boss Nenad Bjelica goes into the Champions League match without a win in five games with the current Croatian champions in third spot this season, trailing leaders Hadjuk Split by six points having played a game more.

Despite that worrying form Dinamo do have seven points from their five Champions League matches and face Celtic knowing that a win would give them a very good chance of being involved in the February Play Offs for a place in the last 16.

Midway through the first half of today’s game Dinamo opened the scoring through Lukas Kacavenda but the visitors equalised 11 minutes into the second half through Alen Grgic.

Despite their recent form, wins over Salzburg and Slovan Bratislava and a draw at home to Monaco have Dinamo in a strong position going into the match against Celtic.

While their recent form is poor Brendan Rodgers won’t be fooled, knowing that Celtic will have to be in top form to add to the eight Champions League points that have been collected so far.

Should be a cracking game in which anything can happen but if we’re on our game we can definitely get the result we need. We just have to press at the right times and be clinical.
