Since the League Cup Final 10 days ago BBC Scotland have been squealing as loudly as any Ibrox fan media outlet.
No stone has been left unturned to deflect away from Celtic becoming Scotland’s Most Successful Club with one name highlighted with a nudge to explain it all.
Frank Connor is the name with no-on paid by the state broadcaster having the guts to tackle the real issue.
If the hordes get their way not only will Connor be permanently removed from their matches but so to will most of the regulars on the SFA circuit.
Like Nick Walsh, educating the Murray Park starlets on a daily basis.
Steven McLean, whose younger brother lived the dream at Murray Park and was so staunch that he mistakenly thought that he could play for the Northern Ireland u-21 side, after two caps UEFA declared him ineligible.
David Dickinson- his entire families Facebook profiles are full of gushing Ibrox references with Uncle David in Australia not holding back on his hatred for anything Irish.
VAR official Greg Aitken from Kilmarnock has a Facebook profile picture with his hero Ally McCoist while both were working at Ibrox.
The list goes on and on.
Rather than confront it and ensure referees declare the clubs that they and their family supports BBC Scotland prefers to feed off innuendo backed up Macintyre giving air time to toxic Ibrox podcasters who make it clear that they are in regular contact with the BBC Anchorman.
Back in 2021 Kris Boyd and Robbie Neilson got upset over a goal scored by Kyogo Furuhashi against Hearts, it was treated like the first ever boarder-line offside call with not a scrap of evidence to show that the goal should have been disallowed.
BBC Scotland were fully on-board the bandwagon, Head of Refereeing Crawford Allan broke off from a holiday to add fuel to the fire that Selik were pure getting away with it.
Picking up on a conversation centred around Craig Levein on Sportsound, the Daily Record reported
Levein: “Is that inferring that they’re biased? Saying they had poor decisions?”
Broadfoot: “Go on to the Glasgow bit then? Have you got that?
Levein: “Well, I can’t see… I’ve only got two…”
MacIntrye: “I can’t remember the exact words but he said these things happen when you come to Glasgow.”
Levein: “Well they do. I’ve been there.”
Broadfoot: “So why are they happening?”
Levein: “Well I can go back to a game when I was at Dundee United at Ibrox and the official was absolutely appalling.
“He made mistake, after mistake, after mistake.”
MacIntyre: “Was that pressure from the crowd, is that what you’re saying?”
Levein: “No, it was his last game. His very last game. And he got given a game at Ibrox because, I believe, he was a Rangers fan.”
English: “See… I don’t, I don’t…”
Levein: “So what do we say about that then?”
MacIntyre: “You’re saying that’s your understanding, there’s absolutely no evidence that was why he was given the game.”
Levein: “Well that’s what I think.”
MacIntyre: “Yeah.”
Levein: “I don’t say I’ve got evidence…”
English: “That’s not admissible in court though it’s not going to stand up in court.”
Levein: “I’m not looking to go to court. If I’m standing in the dugout at Ibrox and a referee’s made five or six huge mistakes do you not think I’m entitled to come out and point that out?”
As soon as Levein mentioned that he believed that the referee was a Rangers fan the alarm bells rang out in the studio.
Any worthwhile reporter would have been all over that comment to get more detail but with Macintyre and English it was time to close the issue down, to discredit Levein who had been one of their bestest buddies since being presented to Radio Scotland following his sacking at Hearts.
MacIntyre: “You’re saying that’s your understanding, there’s absolutely no evidence that was why he was given the game.”
English: “That’s not admissible in court though it’s not going to stand up in court.”
With that sort of attitude Radio Scotland will continue to get the soft interviews with Ian Maxwell where nothing worthwhile or relevant will be raised or discussed.
BBC Scotland have a similar employment policy to the SFA, a few token ones here and there to tick quota boxes while folk like Steven Naismith and Lee McCulloch can join Neil McCann, Steven Thompson, Derek Ferguson, Rory Loy and Cammy Bell at any time in what the state broadcaster passes off as diversity.
As back up to Macintyre, BBC Scotland can call on Alasdair Lamont or Jane Lewis.
Rangers are my team, never hidden that. Be strange to have someone working on Sportsound that didn’t support a team.
As for Kris Boyd. I know at times he is a wind up merchant, but he talks up our game. Would he be in the Sky studio tonight if he wasn’t such a big personality?

He might be a Calvinist Cunt but fair play to Levein for not letting this ever go – Thank You Craig !
As for the others the deflection is to be expected certainly in that McIntyres case from what I hear on here…
But it’s shocking that that Irish Bastard English is like that…
I’d never normally use terminology like Irish Bastard –
But that ‘West Brit’ fucker English is one of the highest fuckin order !!!
Don’t worry Clach , everyone that works for the BBC is indoctrinated in using that derogatory term when describing all things celtic.
