In February 2012, looking like a Scottish Jurgen Klinsmann, Billy told the TV cameras that news that his club had gone into administration was very upsetting.
He tried his best to hold back the tears, fans of every other club in Scotland laughed and celebrated as decades of winning trophies through players that they couldn’t afford.
Almost 13 years later, looking like Boris Johnson’s scruffy older brother things are looking equally bleak for Billy’s new club following the club AGM in which austerity and fire sales were the phrases that Chairman John Gilligan couldn’t mention.
Twelves successive years of losses, most recently reaching £17.2m have taken their toll as Celtic get to within touching distance of the fake accolade of being the World’s Most Successful Club.
Three wins on the bounce have papered over the cracks but with the squad at breaking points facing Ross County, Spurs and Celtic over the course of eight days looks a daunting prospect.

For Billy and the rest of the loyal bears at the AGM the chilling reality is that the present situation might be as good as things get.
Further cost cutting is required. While Phil Clement toils to mount a challenge to Celtic from his exciting young squad the future will have to be faced with the quality diluted even further.
While bears live in denial fans of other clubs are enjoying every problem at Ibrox after a decade of triumphalism and hollow boasts and warnings.
This time around the Ibrox fans know what is coming their way- if one million of them can get orgasnised into donating £10 a month they will easily have the funds to stop Celtic from racing into the distance with record breaking successes.
Lol £10 a month, don’t be given them ideas on how to pay Aberdeen for Stonner Barron.
Ahhh poor ol/new wangers..weep wat u so and All n all….
billy will always prefer 10 people/bears/staunch-bluenoses who will each put in £10m a week for the warchest than he or any of the other angry huns actually did anything but threaten people
It’s getting rather tedious now.
A company in Scotland has recorded 12 consecutive years of losses
since incorporation in 2012.
That’s it.
A company which should be dissolved.
Second Prize FC shoud’ve been promoting youth heavily, and not blowing millions on transfer fees and fat salaries from day one.
