Kyogo Furuhashi produced the one outstanding moment in Celtic’s 3-0 win over Hibs.

Leading 2-0 at the time James Forrest fired a pass into Kyogo in the penalty box, showing natural instinct the striker let the ball cross his body, steadied it with his right foot then dinked a perfect chip over Hibs keeper Gordon Smith.

It was far from a vintage performance from the home side, highlighted by the decision to award Kasper Schmeichel the Man of the Match award.

The veteran keeper certainly earned his clean sheet, pulling off half a dozen great blocks, many from the first minute when a Hibs striker was sent clear on goal.

Arne Engels opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a near post effort from a low Alistair Johnston cross but the expected goal rush failed to materialise.

Forrest replaced Nicolas Kuhn at the break, fortunately there didn’t appear to an injury to the German winger who joined his team-mates on the pitch after the final whistle.

In the 54th minute Hibs skipper Joe Newell sent the ball into his own net after he connected with a near post flick on from Adam Idah but the best moment of the match was reserved for Kyogo who sent the fans home happy and hoping for another quality finish away to Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday in the Champions League.

Little bit nervous about this week as the Bhoys seem to have gone of the boil recently. Maybe it’s just been that the weather hasn’t been conducive to smooth football. Can only hope the trip to Zagreb shakes them out of their lethargy.

Have a look across the city and put yourself in their shoes, that’s something to complain about.

Not a complaint Joker – I just wanna beat these ones that are as of today 12 years and 132 days old as of today…

Have seen no trophies from May 1989 till May 1995 so I do appreciate this magical and magnificent era as a Celtic supporter…

But I want that mob beaten to finish off their pathological lie once and for all !
