Uriel Lugt has claimed that Internacional have bought Alexandro Bernabei from Celtic with a contract running until December 2028.
The defender enjoyed an outstanding loan spell with the Brazilian based club after slipping quietly out of Celtic in March with no natural left-back alternative to Greg Taylor.
Lugt is an Argentinian based journalist with Mercado de Pasas and has 13,600 followers on X while following only 738 accounts.

Inter bought Alexandro Bernabei. After several back and forths they managed to reach an agreement with #Celtic for the final transfer. Contract until December 2028.
There is no mention of a transfer fee but it seems certain that Celtic have turned around a profit on the £3.5m paid to Lunas in Argentina during the summer 2022 transfer window.
During his first season at Celtic Bernabei made some progress but found himself competing with Taylor hitting the best form of his career.
Brendan Rodgers was less of a fan, after being late for a team meeting for the opening SPFL match of the season Bernabei was left out of the matchday squad then omitted from the Champions League squad.
The 24-year-old made four appearances last January and February while Taylor was injured but at times Rodgers preferred to play Tony Ralston out of position.
A permanent move to Internacional seems to be the best solution for all parties with Celtic likely to have inserted a sell-on clause for any future sale with a return to Europe possible during the four years of his new contract.

If it’s accurate then making a modest profit on a signing that didn’t work out – with a substantial sell-on clause included – is probably the best idea for all parties involved. If he continues to do well there it’s very likely he will get another chance in Europe and hopefully with a team where he is better suited to their style of play.
