Celtic are reported to have turned down offers from clubs in Germany and Spain to sign Luis Palma.
Starting one SPFL match this season and often missing out on the matchday squad would suggest that the winger doesn’t have much of a future at Celtic.
Palma is under contract until May 2028 but it seems that Celtic are determined to turn around a profit on the winger that they paid £3m on to sign from ARIS Salonica in August 2023.
During the summer Celtic raised over £5m from selling Mikey Johnston and Bosun Lawal, it seems that clubs looking for bargains will have to look elsewhere.
Honduran site El Diaz reporting:
Proof that Celtic are not ruling out keeping Luis Palma in 2025 is that they have already rejected two formal offers for the “Bicho”.
One of the offers that reached Celtic ‘s offices for Palma was from France and the other from Germany. Neither of the two met the expectations of the Scottish club.
Now, it’s only been four days since the winter transfer market opened in Europe and there is practically the whole month of January left to decide the future of Luis Palma.
What is clear is that Celtic will only let Palma go if a significant offer comes in. The figures being discussed by the Scottish team are at least four million euros.
With Football Sustainability Rules strictly applied across Europe there might be a limited number of clubs willing to meet that asking price.
A loan with an obligation to buy in the summer looks an obvious solution with little prospect of Palma finding his way back into the Celtic team.
Already from the summer 2023 signings Marco Tilio, Kwion Hyeok-kyu and Gus Lagerbielke have been sent out on loan.

No way is Rodgers going to leave himself short, while there are still 2 CL matches to play.
Same applies to Taylor also, as both are still going to be part of our CL squad regardless of what there futures hold?
So clubs can sound out potential players at this stage of the window, but chances of getting player’s we might still require for these CL matches, would be virtually nil at present imo?
Agreed , I’d imagine they won’t be allowed to leave until the end of the window once they games have been played
There is a La Liga Club in Madrid that wants Luis “On Loan”.
In his first season with Celtic Luis scored against Atletico Madrid from the right wing.
It was a surprise goal because of the acute angle. The “Celtic Mad” young man who posts his videos on YouTube went Bananas. I must be in the minority group, that would like Luis to stay with Celtic.
