Celtic’s hunt for a new winger is unlikely to result in signing Raul Moro from Real Valladolid.
Last night the winger suffered a collarbone injury during his side’s 2-1 defeat away to Espanyol, leaving the pitch on a buggy early in the second half.
Brendan Rodgers has spoken about the need to add goals to his squad during the January window with Moro one of a number of wingers that have been linked with Celtic.
On Wednesday the Daily Mail reported:
Celtic are weighing up an offer for Real Valladolid’s coveted £8.5million-rated winger Raul Moro. Equally comfortable on either flank, Ajax have made the former Spain Under-21 international a priority signing.

The Valladolid player could suffer a collarbone fracture and had to be removed in the 56th minute If there is bone displacement, surgery may be required, although this is not common. Downtime around 2-3 months
After the match Valladolid boss Diego Cocca said:
Raul’s injury is not confirmed, but it seems that he had something in his collarbone . He will be in the hospital as well as possible. It seems that it was very clear.
The 22-year-old has impressed despite his side battling against relegation but it seems highly unlikely that he will be moving anywhere this month.
Celtic could revisit their interest in the summer but with Rodgers looking for an instant boost, to freshen up his squad he will have to look elsewhere.
Wednesday’s home match against YB Bern could have a big significance on Celtic’s transfer activity, a victory in that fixture would secure a place in the Round of 16 Play Off and some certainty over their European prospects.
A draw could be enough but a defeat to the side in bottom place in the 32 team table would leave them looking to take something from Matchday 8 away to Aston Villa.

Why should we have to wait for the result of, e.g. the Y/boys game to strengthen? Surely Brendan knows what he needs and has told Paul Tisdale etc.
We should have had a list ready to go on 1st day of window. Instead there’s more talk of exits, FFS!
Oh wait, Lawwell’s still alive and active in the building. THAT arsehole should be 1st exit with Nicholson joining him.
FC not PLC!
