Alexandro Bernanbei appears to be closing in on a permanent move to Internacional of Brazil.
The defender made the last of his 23 appearances on loan to the Brazilian side on December 8 with negotiations over a permanent deal between the clubs underway before that date.
Helping his club rise to fifth place in Serie A plus being voted as the best left-back by the Brazilian League certainly relaunched Bernabei’s career after stalling during 21 months at Celtic.
At the time of his loan it was widely reported that there was no commitment on the part of Internacional but a report from Brazilian website Lance claims that a 5 million euros fee is in place.
The report also claims that Lanus of Argentina have a 10% stake in their former defender, if those claims are true Celtic look like only getting their money back on the summer 2022 signing.

Brazilian website Lance reports:
The Argentine has already expressed interest in staying at Inter, and everything has been agreed between the player and the Rio Grande do Sul club. Internacional, however, still needs to close the deal with Celtic to have Bernabei at the pre-season presentation on January 6.
Bernabei clearly has no future at Celtic, his exit will make it a clean sweep of departures from the summer of 2022 with Sead Haksabanovic and Ben Siegrist moving on in the summer with the loan deals for Oliver Abildgaard and Moritz Jenz cut short.
Left-back appears to be an area that Celtic need to address this month with Greg Taylor refusing to sign a new contract and Alex Valle’s loan expiring at the end of the season.

Complacency set in yesterday,we read to much into them being F*****D,without a regular goalkeeper and regular defenders being absent,we only have ourselves to blame for that.
The catch 22 situation Kojak finds himself in now is does he staring back the people posting missing yesterday or does he stick with his winning formula.
No doubt the title will be back up for grabs again and the TREBLE will be back on for sevco.
I wouldn’t hold my breath but would love some serious money being spent in January just to F**K sevco up and take the gloss off their victory today.
Also our club should be making a public statement about the coins skelping our player but they won’t with sevco dangling the 5 Way Agreement in front of Liewell.
Had that been a sevco player that got hit with a coin at Patkead,the Star Trek guy would have been up waiting outside Hunden to open demand the SFA/SPFL take action.
Still at the end of the day it’s another day closer to them going into administration,so coins being thrown should have been going towards the adminstrators fees.
