Luis Palma seems to be one of the most in-demand players in world football this month.
It is more than obvious that he has fallen to fifth choice winger at Celtic but with James Forrest currently injured and two Champions League ties in the next week there could yet be some playing time for the Honduran with a home match against Dundee fitted in between the matches with YB Bern and Aston Villa.
Football Insider is notorious for generating their own content with Palma their favourite Celtic player. So far this month clubs from the MLS, Greece and Spain have been linked to signing Palma with virtually no evidence to join the dots together.
With nothing biting, yesterday transfer specialist Pete O’Rourke of FI rolled the dice again to credit four English Championship clubs with registering their interest in the Celtic winger.
Celtic winger Luis Palma is being chased by Sunderland, Stoke, Swansea and Queens Park Rangers as well as several European clubs, sources have told Football Insider.
The Championship quartet have all registered their interest in the Honduras international as they race for his signature.
There is no need to ‘register interest’ Celtic will be very happy to discuss a deal with any potential buyer, preferably a permanent move. Usually most stories in FI come from a ‘Recruitment Insider’ or a ‘Senior Recruitment Source’ but not in this case
A phone call to Palma’s agent will confirm salary expectations which will be at least what he is due from Celtic with a contract running until May 2028.
Of the woeful Mark Lawwell signings from summer 2023 Marco Tilio, Gus Lagerbielke, Kwon Hyeok-kyu and Odin Thiago Holm have all moved out on loan, Palma’s exit will speed up that much needed clear out.
