Joe Hart in the commentary box has added greatly to coverage of Celtic in the Champions League.
For three seasons the former England ‘keeper was at the heart of the Huddle, a leadership figure alongside Callum McGregor, Cameron Carter-Vickers and the rest.
Switched into the TNT Sports studio, Hart has been able to give an unmatched insight into what is going on with a special eye for his successor, Kasper Schmeichel.
Late on Wednesday morning Celtic announced that their Danish keeper was staying on for another year, in the evening Schmeichel demonstrated why he is worthy of that deal as Celtic took full points from YB Bern to advance in the Champions League.
“From a fan, from a friend, you’re playing brilliantly at the moment” ?
Former Celtic stopper Joe Hart was all praise for current goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel after signing his new contract at the club, and his clean sheet tonight.

Late in the second half Schmeichel pulled off an outstanding double save as YB threatened to kill Celtic’s Champions League hopes, there was a sigh of relief throughout the stadium with that moment fully appreciated in the 86th minute.
When Loris Benito turned the ball into his own net Schmeichel was the furthest player from the action but at 38 years of age he celebrated like a teenager.
After Daizen Maeda was sent off Celtic were up against it but the defence held firm, fittingly the last action of the game was Schmeichel clutching a close range effort just before the final whistle blew.
