Chris Jack of the Rangers Review lit up the Transfer Window with an outstanding yarn at tea-time on Monday.
The Newsquest title was responsible for the incredible Malik Tillman/Bayern Munich tale from two years ago but the Chelsea swoop for Jefte is right up there with the best of them.
Jack knows the boxes to tick to create a runaway story while drawing back, the substance of the story is that Jegte’s agents have been contacted with a view to a summer move.
That vague detail is enough to provide deflection away from Celtic signing Jota and the grim financial problems at Ibrox, compounded by a complete lack of interest in paying transfer fees for anyone on the pay roll.
It was mission accomplished with the other media messengers all running with the story without the slightest questioning.
Chelsea have made contact with representatives for Jefte regarding a potential move this summer. No bid has yet been made for the Brazilian.@RangersReview55 understands the club are aware of interest from other European clubs in the left-back.https://t.co/JQHIhS6gY7

Jefte was signed in the summer from Fluminese after a season spent on loan at Cypriot side APOEL Nicosia.
Alongside Connor Barron he was given the five star treatment at the start of the season even though he was sent off in the Champions League defeat against Dinamo Kiev.
Now that the Chelsea story has been released Jefte’s agents will be in talks to get their client onto the same wage levels as James Tavernier and Super Jack Butland.
Chelsea leading the European Chase for Jefte? Who are the clubs they are beating out? Bayurn Munich, AC Milan, and Barcelona no doubt. Behave yourself

Tough times ahead for the followers of Los Inferiores FC, but having been through this scenario so many times before, do they really still swallow all this “Soylent Blue” the media lickspittles feed them?
Soylent Blue is FUDS!
Why don’t they call that Sevco Review Sevco employee Chris ‘Union’ Jack !
Catnip to try and soothe worried orcs swiftly fired out by their fan media and other hun journalists who can’t handle watching us easily afford to buy a player for 8m
