A year ago there were three special words that were music to Dougie’s ears.
Some bears even wore scarves with those words. Penalty To Rangers was thrown around as the catchphrase, the calling card as the Clement Revolution threatened to sweep Scottish football aside with James Tavernier in line for the Golden Boot.
Every second game the nation would wait for the famous tweet, some times there would be two penalties in the one match such as when Hearts were leading 1-0 at Ibrox with John Beaton as referee.
Now it seems that Dougie never really liked it, he didn’t tweet about it or create wacky videos to show what a fun guy he is.

Twenty matches into the season there hasn’t been a single SPFL penalty awarded to Clement’s side.
Yesterday at Easter Road the Belgian Beale was in full deflection mode after an awkward challenge from Ianis Hagi led to a penalty- awarded by Beaton.
So far there has been no statement from Ibrox, Willie Collum hasn’t been briefing media partners, life has continued as before.
There is however some legacy media attention on the fact that Clement’s side haven’t been awarded a penalty, which is in contrast to a year ago when a run of 73 SPFL matches without conceding a penalty had just ended.

The big question is this – have the referees or the SPFL or the SFA been under scrutiny from UEFA and told to clean up their act? It’s no coincidence that Scottish refereeing officials no longer are trusted to officiate the bigger games in European football.
If you extrapolate further then it was about 117 games played with only 1 penalty conceded. As big an anomaly as you can get particularly when you consider the amount of handballs in the box alone that weren’t punished – Goldson as auxiliary keeper for instance.
And let’s not forget the fact that the defenders at £1brox weren’t particularly skillful or clean when tackling in the penalty area.
All any team wants is a level playing field when playing anyone. A lot of players from other clubs in the league may have bonuses in their contracts linked to positive results against the bigger teams so maybe they should be vociferous when calling out perceived cheating/honest mistakes?
Anyway, recent honest mistakes notwithstanding it looks as though the field might be levelling. We shall see.
Lol wee Coco the klown at ibrox noise is all giddy with excrement sorry excitement, apparently Celtic should be running scared because the money that sevco will get for the Morrocan Messi will put them back along side with Celtic in the financial stakes, and compete with Celtic fir big money signings.
Maybe someone should have a word with wee Coco and inform him that by the end of this season his klub will be £30 million more in debt.
Good luck with keeping up with Celtic.
Any money coming to ibrokes from player sales will go towards the directors loans that are at an eye watering total, trading while insolvent.
Hope that the no penalty to Sevco ain’t Jinkexd now and they receive two at Dundee midweek…
Or it might be four if Dallas was still a cheat with a whistle and not just a cheat with a monitor !
Now some French paper is getting involved with the Morrocan Messi being linked with all the big clubs in Europe for MEGABUCKS.
