Some pieces appear to be on the move in Celtic’s left-back puzzle.
At lunchtime today Brendan Rodgers spoke about being honest with Alex Valle over how many minutes he is likely to get while on loan at Celtic.
Kieran Tierney’s name wasn’t mentioned during today’s media conference but from Sky Sports to the Daily Mail and Scottish Sun it is widely reported that Celtic are in talks over a deal to sign the Scotland man from Arsenal.
As It Stands, if Tierney was to rejoin Celtic Valle would drop down to third choice, rendering his loan spell as pointless.
??? #Como have reached a full agreement with #Barcelona for Alex #Valle on loan until season’s end – no buy option in deal.
? The ?? club is waiting for #Celtic‘s approval to finalize the move.

The make up of loan deals is always open to speculation but it seems pretty clear that Barcelona have a recall option.
With a variety of financial issues at the Catalan club they will welcome an offer from Como for Valle while being aware of Celtic’s interest in Tierney.
It is likely to be a move that will appeal to the player who will leave Celtic with a League Cup Final winners medal and Champions League experience on his CV.
