Phil Clement was laying it on thick today as he spoke to the media ahead of tomorrow’s match at home to Aberdeen.
Everyone in Scottish football knows that the Belgian Beale would be sacked and paid off if his employers could afford it but after failing to reach even the Play Off Round for the Champions League and collapsing in the SPFL Premiership there is barely enough cash inside Ibrox to pay for Connor Barron.
Losses of £17.2m last season look like being well surpassed this season, just £810,000 was raised by selling five first team stars in the summer with desperate measures in place this month to shift more of the deadwood accumulated by three different managers.
It all paints a rather grim picture but putting on a show today Clement shared his joy over rushing to Murray Park to work on transforming players like Jefte, Mohamed Diomande, Ridvan Yilmaz and Nicky Raskin into competent footballers.
Ianis Hagi was a notable omission from that short list as were expensive flops like Oscar Cortes, Nedim Berjami and Robin Propper who were all signed up for the Clement Revolution!
Clement also claimed that his motivation to remain at Ibrox is because he is a winner.
?? PC: There is a review of all areas of the clubs, which I think is necessary.
It is good to have an independent review.

?? PC: I’m focused on the team, and to get the result in the next team.
We see players like Igamane, Ridvan, Jefte, Raskin & Diomande continue to improve this season as we work with players.

?? PC: The bigger the challenge the more hungry I am.
I wake up everyday wanting to make everyone around the club better.

Fifteen months ago Clement inherited a seven point gap from Micky Beale and lost the SPFL Premiership title, this season he is 15 points behind after 22 matches with two cup final defeats to Celtic on his CV.
?? PC: I know there are so many people at this club determined to get the club back to the top.
We have to get the best out of every day, to keep improving.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst was sacked in November 2022 when his side were nine points behind Celtic.
Last week Clement claimed that he had 200% backing from the boardroom, on Saturday new CEO Paddy Stewart made it clear that he expects results to improve or else.
Clement could do worse that have a conversation with Mark Warburton about how a club can get rid of a failing manager.
