Fabrizio Romano has tweeted that negotiations are underway from Kieran Tierney to rejoin Celtic from Arsenal.
It has been speculated for some time that a January deal is possible but there are a number of obstacles to overcome.
Arsenal are committed to paying Tierney’s wages until June which could amount to around £3m but having decided not to take up a 12 month option in his contract the player will become a free agent and is able to sign a pre-contract with any club outside of England.
Clearly talks will be complex but with a willingness of the player to complete the move the biggest obstacle has been removed.

Greg Taylor and Alex Valle were on duty at Ibrox yesterday with neither committed to being at Celtic beyond the end of this season.
A fully fit Tierney would naturally be a massive asset to Celtic but since the 2017/18 season the full-back has been dogged by muscular injuries affecting his hamstring, calves and back.
A reunion with Rodgers holds plenty of appeal but a lot has changed since the duo were at their peak between 2016 and 2018 when Celtic appeared unstoppable domestically with Tierney a key figure to the success of that period.

Still think the young left back at Hearts is worth considering…He looks a good player …imo….But KT…??…Heart says yes…Head says something else…for obvious reasons.
Rather have him on loan to assess his fitness. After yesterday pathetic performance, worst I’ve seen for many decades. This side needs midfield revamped like the defence. And extremely lacking upfront. Rodger’s has a job on his hands.
Couldn’t agree more he certainly looks the part..
STV News tonight suggesting, VERY STRONGLY, that a deal has been struck to bring KT back…Don’t think they would have done it without ” Celtic’s permission.”
