Celtic are reported to have rejected an offer from West Ham to sign Daniel Cummings.
It seems inevitable that the teenage striker will be leaving but unless West Ham improve their offer they will have to wait until the summer and pay out a compensation fee factored by FIFA.
Cummings has been a prolific scorer in the Lowland League but it is five goals in the UEFA Youth League that has caught the attention of English and European sides. As a bonus his contract expires at the end of this season.
UPDATE: Celtic have rejected West Ham’s opening bid for striker Daniel Cummings.
Talks are ongoing with #WHUFC considering an improved offer.
It’s understood the Premier League club made a bid in the region of £500,000 for the 18-year-old.

Cummings made his first Celtic appearance against Aston Villa last week, unless something exceptional happens it is hard to see him being involved again.
Adam Idah is the first choice striker, Brendan Rodgers is hoping to sign a replacement for Kyogo today with Daizen Maeda and Johnny Kenny other options.
If no agreement can be reached Cummings will be in the Celtic squad that travels to face Salzburg in the UEFA Youth League on February 12.
Cummings – Never thought that’d be a word in Lord Lucan-Nicholson’s vocabulary !
