Celtic Future Will Take Care Of Itself For Rodgers

The 2024/25 campaign has turned into an incredibly good one for Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers and there can be few Hoops fans out there who have not been delighted with our charge to the top of the Scottish Premiership table, and our rather unexpected journey through to the newly revamped Champions League Play Off Round.

The only real issue at the club is that it has been pretty well known that Rodgers is not entirely happy with our transfer business during the New Year window, but pushing the boat out mid season is something we rarely do and there always seems to be a sharp line between what our gaffer talks about doing on a transfer front and then, what we actually do. For those Celtic fans who like online casino gaming they will know that the Gold Rush slot are known for their opportunities for success and with the returning Jota, we already know that was a huge January capture for us.

With that said though, it clearly has never been a deal maker for the 52 year old and he is obviously delighted with how we are performing again this campaign. Having almost caused one of the upsets of the decade in our recent European clash with German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, Rodgers was asked about his future at the club and whilst it certainly did not sound like he was looking to move on, he did concede that as of this point in time conversations about extending his future at Parkhead had not taken place.

Stating that he was ‘obviously very happy’ at Celtic Park, Rodgers’ existing contract runs until the end of the 2025/26 campaign, so with that period of time left on his deal there is absolutely no rush when it comes to future negotiations, and with everything that we have been juggling this year it is probably no surprise at all that even tentative talks have not yet been opened.

If anything, that would be something to be discussed over the summer when everyone lets their proverbial hair down and we are celebrating yet another Scottish top flight title victory.

When those conversations naturally come to the fore, whatever Rodgers mini transfer window gripes may have been, he is certainly not letting that cloud his over all appreciation of how the club have backed him and he was pretty honest that his main aim when returning to the club was to improve our European fortunes and every knew that would mean squad investment and our progress in this years tournament is a testament to the work that had been put in.

We have again set the standard, and Rodgers would dearly love to improve on that even further in the next few seasons that lie ahead of us.
