It is hard to under-estimate the damage that Daizen Maeda has inflicted on the Ibrox psyche.

This season alone he opened the scoring in the opening Glasgow Derby then owned the League Cup Final with the best goal of the six shared followed up by the penalty that delivered trophy 119 for Scotland’s Most Successful Club.

Around a year ago James Tavernier was being celebrated as the highest scoring defender in the universe but after a couple of head-to-heads with Maeda the loyal bears wanted him removed from their Hall of Fame with threats to boycott his Testimonial which remains un-announced.

Earlier this week ‘super-agent’ Craig Moore was claiming that he had offered Maeda to the 2012 Ibrox Tribute Act, whether he’d have wanted his career to spiral downhill with Captain Disappointed will never be known.

Living in denial is one of the comfort blankets for Ibrox fans, reading their message boards it is almost impossible to keep a straight face.

The four players listed drained over £10m out of the club while contributing to winning just three trophies- the same as Maeda won during 2024 alone.

With seven winners medals to his name already the former Yokohama man is closing in on double figures as a Celtic player- only a fool or a bear would bet against him achieving that.

I have always maintained that the huns know f@ck all about football apart from being the dumbest fans in the world.

Everything they come out with just confirms this conviction.

Ergo, they know the square root of fuck all about anything?

The Sevco comfort blanket ain’t very cosy tonight then…

    Minus -13 effectively Minus -14…

It shows the delusion over there Joe but then they think they’re still the same club despite the oldco being liquidated. They’ve convinced themselves they were relegated down three divisions despite the fact that no club who’s been runner-up in the Premier league has ever been relegated in Scottish football history nor I’d imagine in any country that plays football’s history. They’re wanting to claim the dead club’s trophies and history but aren’t willing to pay their debts. So how can they spot a player with the class of Daizen, the four players they named Morelos, Roofe, Kent and Sakala were all shuffled out a side door because they were an embarrassment to even be called footballers, when Daizen leaves Celtic, hopefully at the end of his career, he’ll go out with a fanfare and the respect of every Celtic supporter in the world, he’s adored by the Celtic family and God bless him and every one of our support HH

If clement or Craig Moore watched the Celtic v Dundee last night they will be worried about playing Celtic on March 16th because Celtic is another level above rangers
