Claims that Mathias Kvistgaarden is scheduled to board a provate jet from Faro to Glasgow at lunchtime today has been dismissed as a stupid rumour.

That is the view of Danish reporter Farzam Abolhosseini as Celtic fans tried to put together a transfer jigsaw around Brondby’s winter training camp on the Algarve.

Flights between Faro in the Algarve aren’t unknown with today’s flight booking first spotted by wishful fans late on Sunday night.

That came a day after Anthony Joseph had tweeted on Saturday night that negotiations had come to a halt with the clubs unable to agree on a transfer fee.

You would assume that there was broad agreement with the player and his agent over a move for Celtic to get so involved in a proposed move.

Nothing can ever be completely ruled out, one of the clubs may revalue the deal as they look at alternative options with Brendan Rodgers making it clear that a replacement for Kyogo was expected when he lost his first choice striker.

With just over 12 hours remaining in the transfer window a loan deal looks the most likely solution with rumours and reports being followed closely- as well as private flights to Glasgow and players suddenly starting to follow clubs on Instagram.
