There wasn’t just one member of the Maeda family grabbing attention at Celtic’s 5-0 win over Raith Rovers.

While Dad Daizen scored a hat-trick his two kids were watching from the stand after being on the pitch before the match kicked off.

The Maeda family were last out of the tunnel as Callum McGregor led out the Scottish Cup holders but their involvement wasn’t token.

It would have been easy for the Raith players to turn and run after high-fiving the final Celtic player, Daizen, but almost all of the looked out for the two other outstretched hands looking to be involved in the pre-match ceremony.

Despite the pre-match goodwill to his kids Daizen showed no mercy to the Raith players with his attack starting in the sixth minute.

By the 77th minute the Japanese forward was charging in at the back post to complete his hat-trick as he took his Celtic tally to 50 with 21 of them scored this season.

Sadly Daizen will have to join his kids in the stand for Wednesday’s match against Bayern Munich butg he will be creating havoc for Dundee United on Saturday then facing up to Bayern in the Allianz Arena on Tuesday February 18.

I see auld Tenalady Heevins having a go at us again for not spending money on a striker.
Focusing on us the richest club in Scotland, but not calling out SKINTO FC at ibrox who have been DOING MORE TAPPING THAN A BLIND MANS STICK.

That outfit at ibrox are on the verge of folding with no questions being asked about them from anyone in the media about their financial situation running so far at £23 million loss for the season so far with another 4 months to see the season out,Tenalady and his mates want to focus on a club with over £75 million in the bank.

He should be having a dig ar sevco and asking questions how are they going to survive the season running at a £23 million loss so far and heading towards making that £30 million, that’s a klub ready to fold, but let’s not concentrate on them flag that up let’s talk about the club that have money cash rich but won’t spend it.
I know which club I would rather be supporting.

Maybe Celtic do have a ready made striker in Daizen Maeda? We know he can score goals with either foot ….he is a ghostlike figure to defenders and his sublime speed and athleticism is a nightmare to play against . I have a nice feeling about his versatility and aptitude to win …

We have 1 striker. The board weakened the team and undermined the manager at a time when they needed support.
Did you see any other major teams weakened….?

It’s not just this season theRangers have been losing money – it’s been happening since they were allowed back into the league after liquidation (they don’t like admitting they were liquidated; according to them they were demoted!). They have been losing money every season and but gloss over it with ‘soft loans’ (which have to be paid back at some point in some way – ie shares issues). Don’t hold your breath waiting on the press to report this.

Rumour has it Maedas kids were caught speeding up the London Road doing 50 in a 30 – both were on foot!

Him and Kuhn are a handful for ANY team, both have pace tae burn.
Daizen on 20 goals, Kuhn on 18 goals, even Calmac got 5 :/

Love wee Maeda, I hope he remains a Tim for life, but I’m worried he’s catching attention elsewhere

The scary thing is our board would sell maeda in an instant if they get any offers in the summer,we as a club are like this we build up a head of steam and every summer we’re like yes we’ve got a good team, and then our best players get sold on ,and then we start all over again, and we will never be strong enough or good enough to play in Europe because we always let our good players go ,that was brilliant tonight the Huns are out and I live in Plymouth now, imagine having a double on at the bookies, argyle put Liverpool out and queens park put the Huns out,how good is that.
