According to Anthony Joseph, Luis Palma has completed his loan move to Olympiakos although the official announcement hasn’t yet been made.
The winger was a 73rd minute substitute against Aston Villa on Wednesday night but his departure was discussed by Brendan Rodgers during his Friday media conference.
Olympiakos have moved to take the Honduran back to Greece 18 months after he left ARIS for the Scottish champions.
After an initial favourable impression things went badly wrong during 2024, this season Palma has started just two matches with another 10 appearances off the bench.
UPDATE: Celtic winger Luis Palma arrived in Athens early this morning after completing a move to Olympiacos.
It’s understood the clubs agreed a loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy for £3.3m.
Palma is set to be unveiled by Olympiacos later today. https://t.co/GPX5jsBdTP pic.twitter.com/i4SDp2bJLl

At Celtic Palma has been used exclusively as a right footer on the left wing, a completely different role to that played by first choice Daizen Maeda.
Playing a more central role looks a more natural fit but that position isn’t available in Celtic’s 4-3-3.
Palma’s departure follows that of Odin Thiago Holm to LAFC with the summer signings of 2023 making little impact- Marco Tilio, Kwon Hyeok-kyu and Gus Lagerbielke are all already out on loan.
